Great Memories From Long Ago
clay years ago when I first came back from Japan and was heading back to school in Hawaii, I stopped by in San Francisco to visit my brother and his wife in a few days over New Year’s holiday. We hadn’t seen each other in a few years and I had never met his wife in person, so it was a great chance for us to reconnect and catch up on previous years.
I expected San Francisco to be busier on New Year’s Eve, but to be hones, it was pretty quiet. I think we went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant with a few other people, said Happy New Year, and called it a night. The next day we tried to go out to a sushi place that he recommended in Japan Town, but it was closed for the holiday, so we found a much more expensive sushi place and then spent about four times the amount of sushi we ate. We ended up going to a sports bar to catch some of the games that were on that day.
It was long ago, and a lot of things have changed. I have a family now, and we all, right down to a year old, loves sushi.
I look forward to getting together with my brother again, eat some raw fish, and hang in a sports bar
